Public Speaking Workout provides a series of discussion topics for anyone wanting to practice public speaking. The idea is that you pick a topic or exercise and speak for 2 minutes without prompt. With practice you will gain confidence and assurance. Public speaking will become natural and enjoyable!

Learn and practise how to:

• Learn how you can, with a minimum of preparation, present your thoughts in a clear, organized fashion,
• Learn to listen carefully and tailor your remarks to the question presented to you.
• Practice drawing on your own knowledge and experience on the topic.

Exercises and public speaking hints and tips are provided as a comprehensive public speaking reference and practice tool.

With a range of exercises to try, you might end up talking about a made up event where you met a celebrity or your fantasy job. Whatever the exercise, the aim is to have fun and enjoy speaking without the pressures or formality of professional public speaking.

Exercises are taken from Toastmaster which is formally a worldwide organization of clubs who meet locally with the purpose of discussion and public speaking practice. You don’t have to belong to a club to use the exercises in Public Speaking Workout - they’re for anyone to practise. Pick an exercise and give it ago. Exercises range from the challenging to the fun, from the spontaneous to those which need a little preparation.
